Kiruhatotte vol.7 "Soro Soro Dance." (Time to Dance, Soon.)

"Soro Soro Dance.", the latest production by the theater company "Kirihatotte" (playwright and director Mao Yamamoto and actor Nao Yoshizawa), will be performed at Asakusa Kokono Theater from Thursday, November 19 to Sunday, November 22, 2026.

The story begins on the day "Atataka Haruhi" graduates from being an idol, as she starts to talk about her life in the middle of the Budokan. Using the emotional speech that is a staple of graduation concerts as a motif, the piece is structured as a life story that cuts out and collages every possibility of "Atataka Haruhi."

The cast includes Kana Izawa, Chiho Nakajima, Mikio Okuyama, Rin Kawai, Nao Yoshizawa (Kirihatotte), and Xu Yonghang (Zaji Zoo), among others. The staff includes talented members such as Kotaro Ono (dramaturg), Haruka Takasaki (stage manager), and Aoi Ito (set designer).

Kirihatotte is known for its catchphrase "Cutting and pasting a collage of 'certainly' that might exist," and for a style that connects the feelings of people living today to familiar motifs and strange settings. The company has won many awards, including the Sato Sakichi Award 2022 for Outstanding Direction, and the Sato Sakichi Award 2025 for Outstanding Script and Outstanding Lead Actor. In 2026, "Galapagos" became a runner-up Grand Prix candidate at the "CoRich Performing Arts Festival! 2026 Spring."

There are 6 performances in total: November 19 at 19:15; November 20 at 14:00 and 19:15; November 21 at 14:00 and 19:15; and November 22 at 12:30 and 17:00. Doors open 30 minutes before the start of each performance. Children under school age are not admitted.
