Asakusa–Odaiba Route to Resume After About 10 Months

The route connecting Asakusa and Odaiba is expected to resume after about 10 months.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government will operate the service using a disaster-response vessel, replacing the aging ship with a newly built one.

In an emergency, the vessel will serve a different role as a disaster-response ship.

For tourists and local residents, this is welcome news as water transport on the Sumida River is restored.
