Winning Team of the Asakusa Samba Carnival S1 League Joins Nirasaki City Anniversary Festival 2026

On October 11, 2026, "Escola de Samba Saúde," the winner of the S1 League in the 41st Asakusa Samba Carnival Parade Contest, took part in the "Nirasaki City Anniversary Festival 2026" held in Nirasaki, Yamanashi Prefecture.

Staff from the Asakusa Tourist Federation traveled from Asakusa to the venue to cheer them on.

Scenes from the Venue

• The weather was beautiful that day, and it was warm enough to feel hotter than in Tokyo
• Delicious food was on offer
• Many activities were prepared for everyone from children to adults

The venue was bustling with many visitors, and the participation of the Asakusa samba team made it even more lively. When the winning team of the Asakusa Samba Carnival takes part in festivals in other regions, it also becomes an opportunity to promote the charms of Asakusa to a wide audience.
