First "Oshiage 100-nin Kaigi" Held with 64 Participants

The first "Oshiage 100-nin Kaigi," an event that creates connections through talks by people active in the local community, was held on October 12 at the Sumida Symbiotic Society Promotion Center "Sumi-naka" (2 Oshiage, Sumida-ku), with 64 participants.

First Speakers

Five speakers took the stage at the first event, including a neighborhood association head, shop owners, and the director of Sumida Aquarium. The five speakers were Yasuyuki Taga, Fumio Inoue, Shuichi Handa, Momoko, and Tomohiro Kakizaki.

Highlights

• Passing on the local community and thoughts on town development
• Connections through sake and the history of a shop
• Thoughts on creating a place where people connect through whisky

Each speaker talked about their activities and their feelings toward the community, providing an opportunity to interact with participants. As a venue where people active in the Oshiage area can be seen face to face, attention is also turning to whether the event will continue in the future.
