Kaoru Asakusa Lantern Project

Characinnovate Co., Ltd., which operates the hands-on fragrance experience shop "inimu," will hold the "Kaoru Asakusa Lantern Project" from Thursday, October 15 to Tuesday, November 3 (national holiday), 2026. Combining a lantern with "Scent of Asakusa," a new release from the perfume brand HATENKO, it offers a new way to enjoy Asakusa at night on foot.

3 Highlights

• Asakusa night walk for all five senses: Follow the light and the scent through nighttime alleys that look different from those in the daytime.
• Discover local shops with the "Kaoru Asakusa MAP": Scan the QR code on the card included with the lantern to access a MAP featuring participating shops and spots to stop by. No app installation is required.
• Instagram giveaway campaign: To enter, post with the mention "@inimu.jp," the hashtag "#馨る浅草," and the shop-name hashtag of the prize you want.

How to Participate

Buy a "scented lantern" (500 yen, tax included) at the inimu Asakusa store or a participating sales shop, then spray "Scent of Asakusa" once to infuse it with the fragrance. Purchasing a lantern is not required to enter the campaign.

Free Distribution on Saturday, October 31 Only

During "ASAKUSA CULTURE & LIGHTS 2026," on Saturday, October 31 from 15:00 to 18:00, the first 100 people will receive a "scented lantern" free of charge at the inimu Asakusa store. Distribution ends when they run out.

Campaign Overview

The entry period is Thursday, October 15 to Sunday, November 8. Prizes are sets that include prizes from participating shops and a HATENKO "Scent of Asakusa" mini atomizer (2.5 mL), and a total of 17 sets for 20 winners will be chosen by lottery. Prizes can be picked up at the inimu Asakusa store.
