Tokyo Mizube Line to Resume Service on October 17, Including Asakusa–Odaiba Cruise

Published Oct 10, 2026

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Tokyo Metropolitan Park Association will resume the "Tokyo Mizube Line" water bus service from Saturday, October 17, 2026, using a Tokyo Metropolitan Government disaster-prevention boat. Service had been suspended since January 2026, so this marks its return after about nine months.

Asakusa–Odaiba Cruise

This route connects Asakusa/Nitenmon, Ryogoku, and Odaiba Seaside Park, and operates mainly from Wednesday to Sunday.

  • Asakusa to Ryogoku: Adults 600 yen, children 300 yen
  • Asakusa/Ryogoku to Odaiba: Adults 2,000 yen, children 1,000 yen

For the time being after service resumes, a campaign will also be held offering a 10% discount on boarding fares when paying with eligible cashless payment methods.

Sumida River Yurari Through Cruise

This is a renewed version of the former "Ichinichi Yurari Tabi" course, with some changes to the route. It stops at Ryogoku, Azumabashi, Nitenmon, Senju, Arakawa Yuen, Kamiya, Etchujima, Akashicho, Odaiba Seaside Park, and more.

About the Disaster-Prevention Boat "Raiden"

The service mainly uses the disaster-prevention boat "Raiden." It has a length of 29.8 m, a width of 7.6 m, a gross tonnage of 73 tons, and a capacity of about 140 people. During disasters it transports supplies and personnel, and in normal times it is also used for inspections, drills, and for raising awareness of disaster prevention and the waterfront environment.
