The 9th Furusato PR Festa

18 Municipalities from Across Japan Gather at Hanakawado Park

The "9th Furusato PR Festa" will bring together 18 municipalities from all over Japan, including Taito City's sister cities, friendship cities, and partner cities. Local gourmet foods and specialty products, carefully selected from each region, will be on sale.

Local Gourmet Food & Specialty Products

• Ganso Croquette (Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture)
• Dried fish (Higashiizu Town, Shizuoka Prefecture)
• Craft beer (Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture)
• Hitomebore dango (Osaki City, Miyagi Prefecture)

Workshops

Workshops using natural materials and traditional crafts will be held on both October 17 and 18 (for elementary school students and older; children under elementary school age may join if accompanied by a guardian).

• Nango Sashiko Experience (Minamiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture): Scent a keychain with aroma from Minamiaizu. 10:00–15:00, about 15 minutes, participation fee 500 yen.
• Nature Craft (Midori City, Gunma Prefecture): Crafts using nuts, wood, and other natural materials. 10:00–15:00, about 20 minutes, free of charge.

• 17th 11:45– / 14:15– Minamiaizu Town, Fukushima Prefecture: Taiko drumming
• 18th 10:30– / 12:30– Chikusei City, Ibaraki Prefecture: Ohayashi (festival music)
• 18th 11:30– / 13:30– Taito City, Tokyo: Wadaiko drumming (Asakusa Taikoban)
