Awaken Your Civic Pride!

The "Sumida River Tsunashiki Tournament" is an event in which residents of Taito City and Sumida City face off in a tug-of-war on Sakura Bridge, which spans the Sumida River. The contest of determination and pride between the residents of the two wards, played out through tug-of-war, stirs up their pride in and attachment to their respective wards.

Each match is a best-of-three-sets format, and the first team to win 2 sets wins the match. Once the match is over, it's no-side. Another aim of the tournament is to energize exchange between residents of the two wards.
