Tokyo Engei Association's "Taryū Yose" Held at Asakusa Toyokan
Asakusa Toyokan will host the special performance "Taryū Yose," organized by the Tokyo Engei Association, for one day only on Sunday, September 20.
This special program differs from the regular middle and late 10-day programs, and its highlight is that multiple schools and performance styles come together under one roof. It is a rare opportunity to enjoy a wide range of entertainment at once, including rakugo, manzai, and iromono (variety acts), and it is attracting strong attention from fans of live variety performance.
As an event that could only be staged at Toyokan, a symbol of Asakusa's performing arts culture, it has been well received every year despite being a one-off performance.
If you wish to attend, checking the schedule in advance is recommended. It is also a good fit to drop in on while sightseeing in Asakusa.
