Boys Variety Association's Late-September Program Held at Asakusa Toyokan

From September 21 to 29, Asakusa Toyokan will host the Boys Variety Association's "Shimo-seki" (late-month program). Boys variety is a unique style of entertainment combining instrumental performances and comic storytelling, and is a beloved traditional art form at Toyokan.

During the run, member performers will present a diverse lineup of acts that changes daily, making it easy to enjoy even for first-time visitors to live variety entertainment. It is a valuable opportunity to experience traditional yose theater culture amid Asakusa's warm, old-town atmosphere.

Because the program runs for an extended period, many audience members visit multiple times to enjoy different acts. Detailed schedules of the acts are announced at the theater as they become available.
