Venue News AsakusaKomagata Dozeu Group's "Chanko Beya Asakusa" Uses Toreta Reservation Book to Raise Spend per Overseas Customer by More Than 2,000 Yen
Published Oct 5, 2026
Toreta, Inc. has published a case study of "Chanko Beya Asakusa," run by Komagata Dozeu Co., Ltd., which operates "Komagata Dozeu," founded in the first year of Kyowa (1801), as a customer case for "Toreta Reservation Book," its reservation and customer management system for restaurants.
Challenges Before Adoption
The restaurant managed reservations with a paper ledger, which led to missing entries and wrong reservation dates. In winter, the hot pot season, the phone rang constantly, and staff sometimes could not take breaks. In addition, many overseas guests did not show up without canceling, and in some cases they ordered only one item.
Results of Adoption
- Spend per customer on the course for overseas guests rose by more than 2,000 yen (orders of at least about 4,500 yen)
- With "Toreta Cancellation Protection," the arrival rate for course reservations has stayed at 100%
- Online reservations, mainly from new customers, have increased, and phone reservations have fallen to about half
- Using the call recording feature, reservation mistakes have been eliminated
Consideration for Regular Customers
Card registration is required only for overseas guests, and regular customers can still make reservations without registering a card, as before. Store manager Takaaki Kanazawa says the restaurant can take measures against no-shows while showing respect for local customers.
Rollout Across the Group
Komagata Dozeu Co., Ltd. has already introduced the system at four restaurants: "Chanko Beya Asakusa," "Kushisuke Kaminarimon," "Kushisuke Harajuku," and "Hyotan Nabe Kaminarimon." The "Komagata Dozeu main restaurant," which until now took phone reservations only or did not take reservations, will also introduce Toreta Reservation Book and move forward with accepting reservations.
