Performance Overview

"Magma ∞ (Forever)," formed by actors belonging to the Seinenza Theater Company, will present "The South Round Four Never Ends" at Asakusa Kokono Theater as their 3rd performance. This heartwarming comedy set in a mahjong parlor won the 2023 Asakusa Kokono Theater Grand Prize at its premiere in February 2023.

Synopsis

Located in the suburbs, the Showa-era-style mahjong parlor "Asayu" promotes health mahjong with the rules of "no gambling," "no drinking," and "no smoking." However, the elderly regulars who gather there ignore the rules and ride the ups and downs of gambling mahjong day after day. As the rules of the mahjong parlor industry begin to change with the times, the regulars take on the biggest match of their lives to protect their cherished gathering place.
