Senso-ji Shirasagi no Mai (White Heron Dance) (November 3)

On November 3, the Shirasagi no Mai (White Heron Dance) will be performed on the grounds of Senso-ji.

The Shirasagi no Mai is a traditional dance handed down at Senso-ji. The highlight is the procession in which dancers dressed as white herons walk through the grounds.

Their white costumes and graceful movements add a splendid touch of color to the temple grounds.
