Izakaya "Dorokame Asakusabashi" Opens in Asakusabashi, Marking One Month Since Opening

Published Oct 13, 2026

Casual izakaya "Dorokame (Dorokame) Asakusabashi" (Asakusabashi 1, Taito-ku) opened near JR Asakusabashi Station and marked one month on October 10. It is operated by Five Global (Nishi-ku, Osaka), a company that runs restaurants. Dorokame was originally an izakaya operating in Tsukishima and Oshima. The company acquired the shop and its name and has been expanding it since around November 2025. The Asakusabashi location is the fifth store, all of which are directly managed, with 90 seats across the first and second floors.

Signature Drink: Nagasaki Shochu "Dorokame"

The shop stocks two types of the Nagasaki shochu "Dorokame," which shares its name with the restaurant: sweet potato and barley. It also offers drinks with names that include the character "泥" (doro), such as "Doro Ball" (highball), "Doro-n" (oolong tea mix), and "Doronger" (ginger mix).

Straw-Grilling, Motsunabe, and Tempura as the Pillars

The menu lines up classic izakaya dishes with three main draws: straw-grilled dishes, motsunabe, and tempura. Motsunabe is 780 yen per serving, and straw-grilled thick-cut bonito is 680 yen for six slices, emphasizing generous portions and satisfaction.

Customers and Future Plans

Shelves inside the shop hold about 30 shochu bottles kept by customers over the past month. Bottle keepers are mainly people in their late 30s and older, and many women also drink alone at the counter. Going forward, the shop plans to focus on attracting banquet customers. Business hours are 16:00–23:00.
