BEAMS JAPAN Asakusa Pop-up Store Opens on the Grounds of Senso-ji

Limited-Time BEAMS JAPAN Store on the Grounds of Senso-ji

The limited-time store "BEAMS JAPAN Asakusa Pop-up Store," operated by BEAMS JAPAN of the select shop BEAMS, opened on September 26 on the grounds of Senso-ji (2 Asakusa, Taito-ku). BEAMS JAPAN is a business that shares the appeal of Japan through fine products, traditional crafts, and modern culture from around the country. It started in 2016 and marks its 10th anniversary this year. This store is part of "BEAMS JAPAN GATE STORE," a regional co-creation project in which the company develops souvenirs and operates stores together with local businesses.

The Store and Exclusive Products

The store is located in the newly created lawn plaza on the west side of the main hall. It is a roughly 10-tsubo special store made of four connected containers with a yagura (tower-style frame) built inside. Along with exclusive items inspired by Asakusa landmarks such as Kaminarimon, it offers local products, food, and fine products from across Japan.

• "Kaminarimon Reflector" (1,980 yen): a Kaminarimon-shaped traffic safety item made by "Yoshio" of Adachi-ku
• "Asakusa Art Brush": 3 types of small brushes (2,420 yen each)
• "Shamisen-do Asakusa" (2,500 yen): kawara senbei (tile-shaped rice crackers) from "Ginza Matsuzaki Senbei"
• A red and black sacoche inspired by Kaminarimon (5,500 yen), wooden swords (small: 2,640 yen), and more

Sharing Local Appeal from the Place Itself

Business manager Haruyuki Suzuki emphasizes sharing the appeal of a region directly from that region, and says it is important for staff to introduce products while also providing tourist information. President Hiroshi Shitara revealed that the company is looking for properties in Asakusa with a permanent store in mind. New store-exclusive products are also planned to be added during the period.

Open 9:00–18:00, until February 28, 2027.
