The 41st Kappabashi Dogu Matsuri (Kappabashi Kitchen Town Festival)

The annual "Kappabashi Dogu Matsuri" will be held again this year in Kappabashi Kitchen Town, known for offering every kind of tool related to food, including cookware, tableware, and knives.

The 41st festival will run from October 6 to 12, 2026. Shops throughout the town will offer special prices and sales, and events unique to Kappabashi Kitchen Town are also planned.

Popular not only with professional chefs and restaurant owners but also with general visitors and international travelers, it is a rare opportunity to pick up and choose from the many tools that support Japan's food culture.

Within walking distance of Senso-ji Temple and Kaminarimon, the area is also easy to combine with your Asakusa sightseeing.

The whole town becomes lively during the festival, so visiting early in the day is the key to browsing at a relaxed pace.
