Oku-Asakusa Classic Car Festa 2026

To bring more vitality to the Oku-Asakusa area in northern Taito Ward, the second "Oku-Asakusa Classic Car Festa 2026" will be held on November 7 at the schoolyard of Ishihama Elementary School (1 Kiyokawa, Taito-ku) and the adjacent Ishihama Park. Last year the event was held in the schoolyard only; this year the venue will expand to Ishihama Park as well.

• A workshop corner for everyone from children to adults
• On stage, local groups "Tanaka Club," "Kocho Studio," and "Asakusa Taikoban" will give performances and more
• Free coffee from 10:00 to 13:00

Event committee chairman Nobuhisa Ban said, "Through classic cars, I want to make this an event where a wide range of generations, from children to the elderly, come together and people connect with one another. I hope even three generations of a family can enjoy it." He says he is holding it in Oku-Asakusa because he wants "many people to know the charm of northern Taito Ward, where history, culture, and warmth of community live on."

This year, based on lessons learned from last year, a visitor survey will be conducted on the day and used for running future events. On the same day, a concert with an atomic-bomb-survivor piano (Hibaku Piano) will also be held at Ishihama Elementary School from 17:00, and "Tokyo Leather Connect" will take place in and around Sanya Bori Park.

Hours: 10:00-15:00. Admission is free. Content may change or the event may be canceled depending on the weather; in case of cancellation, an announcement will be made on social media and elsewhere.
