Tokyo Leather Connect Part 2: Leather Wholesaler Tour Also Offered at Sanyabori Park

Published Oct 23, 2026

Part 2 of "Tokyo Leather Connect," a leather-themed craft event, will be held on November 7 at Sanyabori Park (7 Asakusa, Taito-ku) and the surrounding area in Oku-Asakusa. Started in 2025 by members of the executive committee of "A-ROUND," which ran until 2024, the event aims to let visitors experience Asakusa as a "town of leather." This year is its second edition.

Highlights

  • Three areas: A "Craft Area" where you can try crafts under professional guidance, a "Kids Area" featuring workshops and exhibits for children, and an area produced by the select shop "aratamu." About 20 shops and organizations will take part.
  • No reservation needed for workshops: Casually try your hand at making leather goods and shoes.
  • Quiz rally: A free-to-join activity where you walk around the venue answering leather-related quizzes.

Reservation-only "Craft Rally Tour"

With a professional guide, visit leather wholesalers, metal fittings shops, and finishing shops for processes such as foil stamping, which are normally closed to the public. Choose your favorite leather and make either a leather pouch or a mini wallet. Tours depart four times a day: 10:30, 11:30, 13:30, and 14:30. Each tour is limited to 10 people and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours.

The event runs from 10:30 to 17:00. It will be held in light rain and canceled in case of severe weather.
