New Openings KuramaeEndedMOKABLE COFFEE CRAFT Tokyo Kuramae Opens, Offering Whole Coffee Beans to Savor: "Mokable"
Published Oct 5, 2026
On October 5, 2026, "MOKABLE COFFEE CRAFT Tokyo Kuramae" opened in Kuramae, Tokyo. It is the first flagship store of the "Mokable" brand, which champions the concept "COFFEE YOU CAN EAT," and presents "Mokable," a new kind of product made with whole coffee beans.
What Is "Mokable"?
Mokable is a product designed to be eaten whole, born from the idea that even the spent grounds left after drip brewing still retain 70–80% of the beans' oils and aroma. It uses no cacao ingredients and is made only from coffee beans as the main ingredient, plus plant-based fats that do not interfere with the flavor. Eating about 40g is said to contain roughly the amount of caffeine in one cup of coffee.
Highlights Inside the Store
- A minimalist Japanese modern space, where the brand color red symbolizes fully ripened coffee cherries
- Tasting of "freshly made Mokable" before it is poured into molds
- A glass-walled factory where you can watch the process from roasting to fine grinding, mixing, and tempering
Eat-In Exclusive Menu
Cafe-only items include the "Mokable Latte," the "Mokable Sweets Assort" featuring 5 types of original sweets, and the "Mokable Flight," which lets you compare beans from 3 countries. The retail selection also includes the "Mokable Terroir Journey," which lets you enjoy terroir, and the "Origin Reserve Series."
